NYCLSA Virtual Event: Supporting Student Success Requires Social Justice Inside and Outside of the Classroom

Presenters: Drs. Geraldine Cochran & Corey Ptak, Rutgers University

How might we use a social justice perspective to revision student success and focus on the whole student? Our speakers will demonstrate methods for addressing existing inequities in education by drawing on examples both inside and outside of the classroom.

  • At Rutgers University, Dr. Cochran supports STEM education research as well as diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice efforts in physics and STEM.
  • Dr. Ptak is the Director of the Science and Engineering Resource Center
