ABOUT NOSS In 1976, NADE began as the National Association for Remedial/Developmental Education Studies in Postsecondary Education or NAR/DSPE. The organization has continually offered professional development opportunities for faculty and support staff in higher education for 43 years, and the name change will allow NOSS to continue its mission to:
Find out more about our parent association at thenoss.org. | ABOUT NOSSMidwest NOSSMidwest educators work in institutions of higher education across Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and western Illinois. NOSSMidwest members are faculty and staff who serve developmental education in a variety of capacities. In addition to teaching college study skills, First-Year-Experience courses, math, reading, and writing courses, our members also work in learning centers, student support programs, retention and assessment programs, and advising and counseling programs. Many of our institutions’ programs provide supplemental instruction, tutoring, mentoring, and labs for college courses. We welcome your involvement and membership. Membership is open to any individual engaged in higher education or interested in the purposes of NOSSMidwest. Annual membership runs from October 1st through September 30th.
