National Organization for Student Success, Michigan Chapter (NOSSMI)
Hello Michigan Colleagues!
I hope your semester is wrapping up nicely. My name is Alex Goudas, and I am President of NOSSMI, the National Organization for Student Success Michigan Chapter (formerly MDEC, the Michigan Developmental Education Consortium). Last year, we had our first in-person conference since 2019, and we chose a central location at one of our many local public 2-year college campuses, Lansing Community College. It was a great success, with members attending from all over Michigan and with Dr. David Arendale as speaker. This year, we are back at the same location, LCC's West Campus.
For this year's conference on Friday, October 17, 2025, we also have been able to book a wonderful speaker, Dr. Robin Isserles, a community college educator, researcher, and author who has had decades of experience as a practitioner in the CUNY system in NYC.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Robin Isserles
