National Organization for Student Success, Michigan Chapter (NOSSMI)

In 2024, the National Organization for Student Success Michigan Chapter (formerly MDEC, the Michigan Developmental Education Consortium) had our first in-person conference since 2019, and we chose a central location at one of our many Michigan public 2-year college campuses, Lansing Community College. It was a great success, with members attending from all over Michigan and with Dr. David Arendale as speaker. This year, we are back at the same location: LCC's West Campus.

Just recently, we decided to collaborate with another Michigan higher ed group called ACPA-MI (American College Personnel Association, Michigan Chapter). We agreed on a new theme for the combined conference. Here it is!

For this year's conference on Friday, October 17, 2025, we booked a wonderful speaker, Dr. Robin Isserles, a community college educator, researcher, and author who has had decades of experience as a practitioner in the CUNY system in NYC.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Robin Isserles
